Please inquire here to commission your own personal or whanau Contemporary Kākahu. We require at least three months to weave one of these pieces.
All feathers are hand prepared and hand woven into this kākahu using traditional Māori techniques, with contemporary cord and natural feather.
Our feathers are sourced form a small Māori owned business in New Zealand, when they are not available through this business we ethically source off shore. We have worked with native New Zealand feather in consultation with the Department of Conservation to ensure the protection of our native manu (birds).
Approximately 7,000 feathers are used to create this kākahu.
