Each piece in the Matariki collection has a special hononga (connection) to one of the nine whetū (stars) of Matariki.

Ururangi binds us to the diverse hau (winds), and the presence of this whetū (star) shape its character. When Ururangi eludes our sight during Matariki, brace for a windy year. On the other hand, when its brilliance gleams, expect calm winds.
